We are all unique and different. God knows all about us in every detail and has a definite and wonderful plan for each of our  lives. This is seen in Jeremiah 29:11-14 where He said:

...I know what plans I have in mind for you,’ says Adonai,‘plans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future. When you call to me and pray to me, I will listen to you. When you seek me, you will find me, provided you seek for me wholeheartedly; and I will let you find me,’ says Adonai.

Scriptures reveal the love that God has for us and His desire to meet with us. Starting in the creation account, He came into the garden that He planted to meet with Adam. In some amazing way, He knew ahead of time what would happen, yet still gave us freedom of choice and has not changed that.

In our human history since, God has spoken to us in various ways as we see in Hebrews 11:1-3.

Throughout our history God has spoken to our ancestors by his prophets in many different ways. The revelation he gave them was only a fragment at a time, building one truth upon another. But to us living in these last days, God now speaks to us openly in the language of a Son, the appointed Heir of everything, for through him God created the panorama of all things and all time. The Son is the dazzling radiance of God’s splendor, the exact expression of God’s true nature—his mirror image! He holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of his spoken word. He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins, and then took his seat on the highest throne at the right hand of the majestic One.

Hebrews 12:1-2 augments that, saying:

As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us.
We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!

God still speaks today! He does so through His word, by the Holy Spirit and through other people. We are all human and fallible, yet God has chosen to speak to us through others.

It is our pleasure to present some of these heroes and heroines in the bible. Some are far from perfect, whilst others are inspirational. We hope you enjoy reading about them...
