Elohim, having of old spoken in many portions and many ways to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by the Son, whom He has appointed heir of all, through whom also He made the ages, who being the brightness of the esteem and the exact representation of His substance, and sustaining all by the word of His power, having made a cleansing of our sins through Himself, sat down at the right hand of the Greatness on high, having become so much better than the messengers, as He has inherited a more excellent Name than them.
For to which of the messengers did He ever say, "You are My Son, today I have brought You forth"? And again, "I shall be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son"?
And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, "Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him."
And of the messengers indeed He says, ". who is making His messengers spirits and His servants a flame of fire."  Hebrews 1:1-7.

This passage of scripture reveals part of the life and ministry of Jesus. It also says that there are spirit beings who worship and reverence Him and who have definite and specific tasks today. Part of their duties includes looking after us!
Angels are real! Many other people and I have seen some on occasions, not that we go looking for them in that sense which that is foolhardy, but they are real nevertheless.
Angels are not necessarily beings with wings wearing halos on their heads. It times they look like ordinary human beings and the bible says that we could come across their paths without even knowing it. See Hebrews 13:2. This page is designed to give you a scriptural listing of angels so that you will be better informed and able to conduct your own research into the topics of angelology and demonology, found elsewhere on this web site.

When studying the topic of angels, it is imperative that we do not place too much emphasis on them or give them more than their due. I say this because in some places people who profess to be Christians all but worship them. They address prayers to the saints, to angels and to other human beings such as Jesus' mother, Mary. She is a wonderful woman but is nevertheless a woman and although the mother of Jesus, was just as much a woman as your own mother and my own mother. Please give these people their rightful due, but do not worship them or pray to them as this is contrary to the word of God.
In this light, angels are truly wonderful beings, who need to be respected and treated with absolute respect and courtesy, but are not and never will be deity.

Their role is very important. In fact the bible makes at least 273 references to angles in some 34 books.
